WhatsApp 2.12.173 APK Download Available – Unlimited Features and Bug Fixes
As we’ve told you two days ago, the developers of WhatsApp will most likely release a new version until the end of this week. Well, it seems that they’ve just released WhatsApp 2.12.173 BETA version for Android devices.
Unfortunately, the new WhatsApp 2.12.173 version doesn’t come with any new features, but it seems that the developers are preparing to release one of the most waited features, which is the Google Drive. We’re pretty sure that soon enough, we will finally be able to use this feature in order to save our WhatsApp conversations history on the cloud.
We’re not sure if the upcoming BETA version of WhatsApp will have this feature, but we’re pretty sure that once it will be added to the application, there will be a lot of happy people. This way, you will never lose your WhatsApp conversation history, even if your device is lost or stolen. All you will need to do is to recover your WhatsApp account (mobile phone number) by going to your carrier and asking the representatives to cancel the current SIM card and give you a new SIM card with the old mobile phone number. After that, you will need to log into your Google Drive account and recover the WhatsApp chat history.
There are also rumors which say that the WhatsApp application will receive the Video Calling feature sometime soon, but we didn’t see any files confirming that. However, we’re pretty sure that the developers are thinking about bringing this feature to the application or else they will lose some ground over other mobile messaging applications such as Viber (which has both the Voice and Video Calling features).
