French blog Nowhereelse.fr posted images of the alleged Moto G third generation, in which the device appears to have a font panel that is similar to the previous model, but its back has an interesting texture and a metal strip that included the camera, LED flash and M logo. The device has a curved design, or at least it’s slimmer on the sides and has the power and volume buttons on the top right, while the microUSB port was placed on the bottom.
Likewise the 2014 model, the next Moto G will come with speaker grills both on the top and on the bottom, but Motorola tried something new for the back side, and we’ve already told you in the introduction what plans the manufacturer has with its next handset, and the design we’ve seen in the leaked images looks amazing. The edges have a glossy frame, but we couldn’t figure out if its’ made of plastic painted in silver, or if it’s actually made of metal.
The previous Moto G has a simple and smooth back panel with an inferior quality, but the 2015 model will have a cool texture that is striped diagonally, and the silver strip containing the camera module and the M logo engraved in a small dimple looks like nothing you’ve seen on a Motorola smartphone.
The third generation Moto G is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor which will be backed by Adreno 306 graphics, 1GB of RAM and will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS. Its back camera will be upgraded from 8Mp to 13MP, while the front camera will have a jump from 2MP to 5MP.
The current Moto G 2014 has a thickness of 11mm, a display that measures 5inches and which supports a reasonable resolution of 720×1280 pixels at 294ppi, its bezels are very thin and above and below the screen, you’ll notice some horizontal bars. The device received a Qualcomm MSM8226 Snapdragon 400 chipset with Adreno 305 graphics and 1GB of RAM, but the internal memory is very low at 8GB. Fortunately, the Moto G has a microSD card slot for expansion up to 32GB. If you’re interested in buying it, you’ll find it on Amazon at a price of 172 dollars.
