Samsung Galaxy A8 Release Date and Specs – Thinnest Phone Yet
Samsung has released its slimmest smartphone ever in China. Even if the launch was pretty quiet and a good amount of people haven’t heard of this phone, we can say that this device comes with decent specs and it is worth trying out.
Samsung Galaxy A8 comes with an all-metal body and it is pretty thin, measuring only 5.9mm and weighting only 151 grams. When it comes to the internal specs, the device features a 5.7inch OLED display that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 386ppi. The Samsung Galaxy A8 features a Snapdragon 615 chipset formed from a quad-core A53 processor clocked at 1GHz and another quad-core A53 processor running at 1.5GHz.
The device will also feature a primary camera of 16MP that will be placed on the rear side of the device, and a 5MP secondary camera on the front side. The device is backed up by 2GB of RAM and it is powered by a 3050 mAh battery that’s even bigger than the one found on the Galaxy S6.
Also, Samsung has integrated some additional features to the Galaxy A8 device. It seems that this new phone features the popular fingerprint sensor and hand wave detection, which can be used to activate a photo timer.
Without any doubts, the Asian customers that are looking forward to buy a mid-range device will surely buy the new Galaxy A8 phone, as it comes with some pretty good features, specs and a beautiful metallic body.
According to rumors, the Galaxy A8 will be sold for 3499 yuan, which is a bit over 560 dollars. Unfortunately, there is no news regarding when this device will be available in Europe or US, but according to some rumors, it will be eventually be released for other countries too.
