Google Nexus 5 2015 vs Lenovo K3 Note – Google’s Next Nexus To Defeat Lenovo?
Lenovo launched this phablet in March, but the company will bring a limited edition that will be put on sale today on FlipKart (9,999 rupees = 155 dollars). This device has some killer features and without a doubt, the K3 Note will be a serious rival to Google’s upcoming Nexus 5 (second generation), whose specs haven’t been announced. Luckily, new leaks have surfaced the internet, so we can get an idea about how powerful this phone will be.
The K3 Note is a a phablet with a generous IPS screen that measures 5.5inches, but its resolution is Full HD of 1080 x 1920 pixels, which gives a decent pixel density of 401ppi. The screen supports multitouch, but only up to five fingers, and on top of the Android v5.0 (Lollipop) is used the company’s proprietary user interface.
Until now, it was believed that the Nexus 5 2015 will be packed with a 5.3inches screen with QHD resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, but according to latest leak, the display will be P-OLED and will measure 5.2inches, but the resolution will remain Full HD.
The K3 Note is using a Mediatek MT6752 chipset that is powered by an octa-core 1.7GHz Cortex-A53 processor which is backed by Mali-T760MP2 graphics and 2GB of RAM. It seems that the Nexus 5 2015 will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 chipset which is configured with 64bit quad-core ARM Cortex-A72 cores and Cortex-A53 cores. The processors are backed by 4GB of LPDDR3-1866 RAM. As for the internal memories, while the K3 Note supports 16GB of storage which can be doubled with a microSD card, the Nexus 5 2015 will support up to up to 64GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage.
The K3 Note sports a 13Mp back camera with usual features: dual-LED flash, HDR, autofocus etc. and has a secondary camera of 5MP. The Nexus 5 2015 will have also a 13MP camera on its rear side, but which will have an IMX278 RGBW sensor, an aperture of f/1.8, optical image stabilization and dual-LED flash. The front camera will be 4MP with an OV4682 RGB-IR sensor and LG will add an Iris scanner.
The K3 Note is packed with a 3,000 mAh battery which offers up to 36 hours of talking time on 3G. The Nexus 5 2015 will feature a 3180mAh non-removable battery which will support wireless charging.
