Recover Lost Data On Android – How To Easily Do It?

1

Accidents happen, but if we don’t correct our mistakes on time, we can lose our memories. Forever. We’re talking about the pictures we delete by accident, on an Android device. The good news is that we can recover them, even if the device is rooted or not. But, the condition is to turn off your internet connection (WiFi or 3G/4G) so you won’t update any application and rewrite your data.

If the Android device is not rooted

You will need a file recovery application to scan your phone for deleted files and to restore them, but you will need to connect your smartphone to your computer, to run the recovery app. The thing is that the newer versions than Ice Cream Sandwich ditched the Mass Storage Protocol (with it, the internal storage looked like a flash drive), so, to look for a file that was saved your memory card, you will use a Micro SD Card Adapter. Also, you will need a recovery application called Recuva, but there are also alternatives and one of them is Coolmuster.

Recuva has a free and paid version, and after installing it, before starting the recovery process, select what type of file you’re trying to restore: photo, video, music, document etc. There is also an option which allows you to restore files from a location – the app will display a list of locations from where you can recover data.

After recovering the file that interests you, copy it to your PC’s hard disk or on a memory stick. However, if the deleted file was saved on the internal storage, here’s what you need to do: enable the developer options in Settings>About Phone>Build Number>tap the build number option seven times. Then, you will enable USB debugging in Settings>Developer Options and install an application called Wondershare Dr Fone, to scan your phone.

If the Android device is rooted

You will need an application called Undelete, which can scan either the internal or external memory. The scanning process will take between two and ten minutes, then, the application will present the recovered data in more tabs: Files, Pictures, Music, Videos, Documents and Files.
