WhatsApp 2.12.232 Download Available – Google Drive Features and Bug Fixes
A new WhatsApp version for Android has been released. Today we’re going to talk about the WhatsApp 2.12.232 BETA for Android, which along with the usual bug fixes and improvements, it finally brings the most awaited feature, which allows you to backup chat history on your Google Drive. It seems that from now on, everyone that installs the latest WhatsApp BETA version on their Android device will be able to backup all their conversations to the cloud.
To backup the chat history on the cloud, go to WhatsApp’s Settings->Chat and Calls->Chat Backup and tap on the “Backup” button. After that, you will need to give permission to WhatsApp and Google Drive to perform backups and save the chat history on the cloud.
In addition, you can also select an option which will allow you to back up the chat history manually. So, instead of letting the application automatically perform a daily chat history backup, you can do it yourself, by going to Settings->Chats and Calls->Chat Backup and tap on the “Back Up” button.
You can also perform a backup whenever you want, by choosing the option “Only when I tap Back up”, so every time you want to perform a backup, you have to go to Menu > Settings> Chats and calls> Chat Backup and click on the “Backup” button.
However, if you choose to automatically save the chat history on “Google Drive”, you will see that among the “Google Drive Settings”, you can set up an automatic backup daily, weekly, or even monthly.
