Google Nexus 5 2015 To Be Released At The End Of August?
Some reports say that Google won’t wait until October to roll out the upcoming Android M, which means that the Nexus 5 2015 will come earlier than expected. Plus, new leaked specs of the flagship have surfaced and we’ve seen even a teasing video of the official name of the new operating system.
If rumors turn out to be true, then we’ll find out the official name of the new Android M OS in a few days. According to Phone Arena, two Googlers named Nat and Lo posted a video on Youtube, teasing the users with the official name of the new operating system. The possible name might be Malt Ball, Milkshake or Moon Pie.
Nat and Lo didn’t give too many clues, but they said that the new Android M version won’t be 6.0, but 5.2 and it will be released at the end of August, after the name will be set next week. Moreover, the Googlers will come with a new video in that period, to give us more information about the upcoming operating system.
@OnLeaks, which has a collaboration with tech blog site uSwitch.com, showcased the Nexus 5 2015 in various angles, and in the video, we noticed that the phone will have a protruding camera like on the iPhone 6, and there will be a fingerprint scanner located below the rear camera. The rumors say that LG implemented biometric recognition, which will allow making payments with Android Pay.
The Nexus 5 2015 will feature a 5.2inches screen with a front speaker, the new USB Type-C port will be placed on the bottom, while the audio jack will sit on the right side. Other rumors suggested that the device will have a metal body which will measure 146.9 x 79.9 x 9.8 mm, it will have a curved rear, but it isn’t certain if it will feature the same 6-core Snapdragon 808 processor from the LG G4.
