There have been all kinds of rumours about the new smartpone joining the ‘Nexus family’, but the most recent one was a leaked photo everybody believes to be the true device. This photo was shared in a Google+ group entitled the ‘Google Nexus Community Indonesia’. What makes it believable is the silver ring that appears underneath the rear camera, ring that has been seen in two other leaked photos. As for the use of the ring, the most likely purpose for it is fingerprint scanning. Another detail that makes the photo credible is the ‘Not for sale’ sticker we see on the phone, which would make sense to be attached, ensuring that the phone is not released to the public.
As you might know already, the Nexus devices are Google’s smartphones which is working every year with another tech giant to help them bring out on the market a great device. This year Google is actually working with two companies: Huawei and LG. The one that has surfaced on the internet is the ‘Bullhead’, code for the smartphone that Google is collaborating with LG on.
Not only are these leaked photos of the phone on the internet, but also some photos of what the cases for the LG Nexus will look like. They all have the second hole available for the silver ring, supposed fingerscanner.
Let’s check out a few of the specifications this smartphone will allegedly have.
The display will be a Full HD (or a Quad HD) one measuring 5.2 inches. We are met with multiple rumors about the processor, and we cannot decide which one to side with, so we’ll mention all of them: it is probably a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, but the version is different (we’re hearing about the 620, 808 or 810 versions).
As for RAM, the assumptions on the internet are for 3 GB and 32 GB/ 64 GB/128 GB for internal memory.
Other rumours about the features the Nexus 5 ‘Bullhead’ will include are: Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and a battery with a capacity of 3180 mAh that won’t be removable.
Let’s talk a little bit about the Huawei device in collaboration with Google: the smartphone has the codename of ‘Angler’ and there have been no photos leaked. However, there are some rumours about the specs of the device, as for a large QHD display measuring 5.7-inches and a 21 MP principal camera. The battery is supposed to show off an impressive capacity of 3500 mAh, while the processor will most likely be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810.
As Google has always done, the launch party for the two devices as well as the Android 6.0 operating system will probably take place in late fall, either October or November. As for all the rumours we just laid out for you, Google is not making any statements on, neither is LG or Huawei.
