The good news is that you can manually download and install it on your smartphone. To do this, you will need to open the browser that you use on your Android smartphone and go to whatsapp.com/android. Once this webpage loads, you will see a “Download Now” button and by tapping on it, you will start downloading the WhatsApp 2.12.244 APK file on your Android device.
