Nexus 5, Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 Will Receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow Preview 3 Update

5

It is official, Google’s newest Android upgrade will be called Android 6.0 Marshmallow. And that’s not all, Google also launched the Android 6.0 Marshmallow Preview 3 for the following Nexus devices: 5, 6 and 9. For now, all that can be seen are a few factory image files, however we expect the upgrade to come OTA.

Ever since the Lollipop upgrades were set into the wild, Google completely changed its strategies regarding update releases. No more summer and fall releases, just one update made public each summer and tested in the fall season under the form of a Developer Preview. Once developers get some insight on the update, the latter is unveiled to the general consumers, which is the same thing that will happen with Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.

For no apparent motif, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow Preview 3 update for Nexus 5, Nexus 6, and Nexus 9 was postponed. However, if you want to pry and can’t wait any longer, go ahead and download the factory image files and have a look-see.

Once the factory image files have been downloaded, you need to have Android SDK as well as Google USB drivers set-up. Only then you can remove the factory image files into the folder. Fire-up the device by using Bootloader Mode and activate the flash-all.bat script’.

If a Developer Preview is already set in motion on your device, the latter will not be left behind as they will still receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow Preview 3 update for Nexus 5, 6 and 9 OTA. However, this will be a slow process which will happen step by step. As soon as your mobile device is ready for the upcoming update, you should be notified. Click on the notification and simply go along with the listed sequences. Also, there is another way for you to find out if the update is accessible. Head on to:
