In the past weeks, there were a lot of rumors which were suggesting that along with the new features and capabilities, the GoPro Hero 5 will come with a higher price than the GoPro Hero.
However, according to the new rumors, the GoPro Hero 5 is going to be more expensive than its successor. Logic dictates that once a new device is getting released, it’s usually more expensive than its predecessor, because it comes with better specs and the parts cost more money.
It seems that the GoPro Hero 5 will be sold for about 550 dollars and it will be released sometime in 2016. We remind you that some earlier rumors said that the GoPro Hero 5 will cost 450 dollars. The GoPro Hero 4 is currently being sold for around 500 dollars and we’re pretty sure that its successor is not going to be cheaper than it.
Smaller And Lighter
The upcoming GoPro Hero 5 will be smaller and lighter than the GoPro Hero 4. Since the release date of the GoPro Hero 5 is still far away, we think that there are high chances that this upcoming device will be indeed smaller and lighter than its predecessor.
According to some earlier rumors, the GoPro Hero 5 was supposed to be released this fall in October. However, the company decided to push the release date to 2016, claiming that it will incorporate more new groundbreaking features in order to make it the best video graphic equipment in the world when it comes out.
According to GoPro, the GoPro Hero 4 Session is 50% smaller and 40% lighter than its predecessor GoPro Hero 4 models. With other words, the upcoming GoPro Hero 4 is expected to come with an approximate the size and weight of the GoPro Hero 4.
The upcoming GoPro Hero 5 will be water resistant and according to more rumors, the camera will survive to a depth of 60 meters underwater. We’re pretty sure that anyone who likes to scuba dive will want to get their hands on this upcoming device.
