With the ultimate preview of Android M being up for grabs for Nexus 5, 6 and 9, the consumer variant of the latter update will definitely roll out to other major producers soon. As soon as Google wraps it up with Nexus, there will be others next in line. And without further ado, here are the runner-ups that are believed to receive the new Android Marshmallow update:
- LG G Flex 2
- LG G Flex
- LG G4
- LG G3
- LG G Pad II 10.1
- LG G Pad 10.1
The LG G Flex 2 can be upgraded to the new Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, but users will be happy to hear that the device will also get the new Android M update. Bad news for LG G Flex though as the hearsay is that it might not receive the upcoming Android Marshmallow upgrade. However, not all are pessimist and according to Slash Gear expose, the latter device might also be among the lucky ones to get the Android M update. The same source believes that the LG G Pad 10.1, LG G4 and LG G3 will also make the list.
Heads-up: Do not expect that the devices listed above to receive the vanilla variant that was rolled out to Nexus handsets. Prepare to receive the company’s customized Android M variant.
Some of you might be on cloud nine if you saw the LG G Pad II 10.1 tablet on the list. This new device will roll out with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, according to Gizmodo but the tablet might hurry up and grab the Android M before the year ends. Even if LG rolled out other tables like the LG G Pad X 8.2 and LG G Pad II 8, only the LG G Pad II 10.1 is believed to receive the Android M update.
