WhatsApp Download Available For Android – Top Features Including Middle Finger Emoji
Do you like to offend people by showing them your middle finger? Now, you can do this on WhatsApp, as well, because the developers decided to introduce this emoji in version 2.12.194, but until version 2.12.271, it received some visual improvements. The application has also a low data mode for making voice calls, custom notifications and Vulcan salute emojis.
The middle finger gesture is offending, but it reveals the negative emotions a person can have when having a conversation with someone who pisses him/her off. WhatsApp’s developers secretly introduced this emoji and many users started adding it immediately to their conversations. Also, the Star Trek fans love the Vulcan salute emoji, and we can bet that there are many WhatsApp users who used to watch the series.
The developers worked also on the new custom notification settings, so now, the users can set different notifications for each chat and even mute conversations (up to 8 hours, a week or more), because this feature is no longer limited to muting conversations in groups.
The low data usage mode was added especially for those who make voice calls and have limited mobile data coverage. This feature will reduce the amount of data used when making a call and the users will save data to make further calls.
Many reports are warning the users to not use the middle finger if they live in the United Arab Emirates, because this country has a Cyber Crime Law which punishes people for swearing or sending insults. So, if you don’t want to pay a fine of AED250,000 ($68,000) or to go to jail for harassing your WhatsApp friends, then don’t use this feature. Also, if you’re a tourist, a visitor or a temporary resident, you may be deported.
There is another hidden feature which tells the users who they communicate the most, by pressing Settings>Amount>Storage Usage. At the top of the page will be displayed the total amount of sent messages on WhatsApp and the contacts and groups will be ranked according to the amount of interactions shared with them.
The Size tab from the bottom of the screen will tell who the contacts you have spent WhatsApp-ing mostly are.
