Google Nexus 5 (2015) and Huawei Nexus 6 (2015) Release Date, Specs and Features
The word around town is that Google is planning to host a big event on the 29th of September. This will go down in San Francisco and it will unveil the upcoming Nexus 2015 handsets. As you probably know by now these two smartphones are the LG Nexus 5 (2015) and the Huawei Nexus 6 (2015).
CNET strongly believes the fact that these Nexus 2015 devices will roll out with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. But, Google is pretty clammed up about this.
The LG Nexus 5 (2015) will be the 3rd Nexus handset from the LG manufacturer. The Nexus 4 being the first back in 2012 followed by the Nexus 5 in 2013. And as a premiere for Google also, the Chinese producer Huawei jumped on board and is now in charge of manufacturing the Nexus 6 (2015) device. This is an important collaboration for both companies according to CNET, especially to Huawei since this is the perfect opportunity for the Chinese producer to make its way through the western markets.
Apparently Google Play is not accessible in China, so users can only get a hold of app stores such as Baido and others. But with Huawei and Google teaming up, this might mean a new Android app store exclusively for China.
As far as features go, LG and Huawei Nexus smartphones will have dual frontal speakers, a USB Type-C connector and the famous fingerprint sensor. The LG Nexus 5 (2015) will have 5.2-inch full HD display, under the hood a Snapdragon 808 chip and 3GB of RAM. The device will also host a 13 MP OIS camera and a 2,700 mAh battery whereas the Huawei Nexus 6 (2015) will arrive with a .7-inch Quad HD screen, Snapdragon 810 chip, the same GB of RAM and lastly a 3,500 mAh battery.
The LG Nexus 5 (2015) will cost around $350-$450 while Huawei Nexus 6 (2015) may retail somewhere between $450 -$550.
