With so many fairish smartphones out there, there is no wonder Sony came out with its own average devices like the Xperia M5 and Xperia C5 Ultra. Keep reading to find out which one takes the crown in terms of specs, design, features and more.
Design, Display, Memory & More
Although both Xperia devices rock a meal chassis and glass on the back cover and front one, their size sets them apart. As far as the design, Sony has recurred to the OmniBalance system to come up with their overall look. This means that their frame sticks out over the glass and this way your handset will be fully protected. Xperia M5 is the only one out of the two that has an IP68 certification. This means it is dust and water resistant.
Xperia C5 Ultra has a 6.0-inch IPS LCD screen having a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels and 367 PPI. The Xperia M5 on the other hand sports a 5.0-inch IPS LCD screen and has a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels and only 441 PPI.
Xperia M5 has a Mediatek MT6795 chipset under the good and an octa-core CPU running at 2.0 GHz whilst the Xperia C5 Ultra has a Mediatek MT6752 chipset and an octa-core CPU running at 1.7 GHz.
Both Xperia gizmos have expandable memory, up to 200 GB and while C5 Ultra has only 2 GB of RAM, Xperia M5 shows off 3 GB of RAM.
Camera and Costs
Camera wise, the Xperia M5 has a 21.5 MP camera placed at the back and a 13 MP one added in front. As for the C5 Ultra’s cameras, they are both a 13 MP snapper and they are amazing for selfies.
Xperia M5 might end up costing you somewhere between $350 -$450 whereas the Xperia C5 Ultra might be even pricier.
