Millions of players have spent a good share of their lifetime building blocks, killing zombies and surviving the night in Minecraft.
Yet, no one got bored of it, and the community continues to grow every other day.
Despite all this, there are still thousands out there who are still new to the world of Minecraft and may not consider joining the community unless there is more mainstream content. Telltale Gamesis gearing up to release the Minecraft Story Mode, which could finally change the perspective of those newcomers and get them interested in the pixelated, blocky world. It is going to be the first game in the series that will follow a single player campaign. The developers have confirmed the release date as well as other details related to the game.
Confirmed Release Date
The Minecraft story mode will get an official launched on October 27 in North America, according to the Amazon.com listing. The information was confirmed by the customers who were planning to buy it on launch date while another listing on the Amazon UK website adds that the game will launch on October 30. Players in the United Kingdom may have to wait three days until the title gets released. There is no word on launch dates around the globe but as most countries sync with the North American release, you can be assured that it wouldn’t be a long wait.
Surprisingly, the story mode version is going to get an official disc launch on all platforms. Players will be able to experience the first episode in a series of episodes. When you buy the game, you will also be eligible to receive four other episodes that will be released over time. According to Amazon, if you pay for the first episode, you will have access to a total of five episodes. An internet connection is compulsory to download them when they become officially available.
New Heroes and Voices
Telltale Games are known for creating authentic worlds and immersive storylines. They have roped in some of the best people to voice characters in Minecraft Story Mode. The team includes Billy West, Brian Posehn, Patton Oswalt, Ashley Johnson, and Scott Porter among others. These people were involved in some of the biggest franchises including the Last of Us, Batman Arkham Knight, Fantastic 4 Rise of Silver Surfer and Futurama.
With a stellar voice acting, new heroes and an action-packed storyline, Minecraft Story mode is expected to be an adventure ride for fans and newbies alike.
