Microsoft will hold a media event on October 6 and the invites are being sent worldwide. This event will be about the release of the new Windows 10 devices, such as the awaited Lumia 950 (Cityman), Lumia 950 XL (Talkman) and Surface Pro 4, but the invitations don’t say much about what will happen at the event.

Rumors about the existence of the three devices: the Lumia phones and the Surface Pro 4 have appeared months ago, but gradually, we started finding out more information about their specs. The tablet is still shrouded in mystery, because there aren’t many leaked details about its upgrades, but we are speculating that the major changes are related to the processor, battery, camera and display.

So, it is rumored that the Surface Pro 4 will bring an Intel RealSense 3D camera which can be used to login without entering a password, because Windows 10’s new Hello facial recognition feature will do the job. This feature was tested and it was a total success, as it didn’t allow identical siblings of the users to access their accounts.

The Surface Pro 4 is expected to be powered by a Skylake processor, which offers a better performance than a fanless Broadwell processor. The tablet will have a second variant with a larger display and its size will be either 13-inch or 14-inch. In addition, there will be a fingerprint scanner and USB Type C ports, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

As for the Lumia smartphones, the smaller one will have a display which will measure 5.2-inch and will support a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels, it will be powered by a Qualcomm MSM8992 Snapdragon 808 hexa core processor which is backed by 3GB of RAM and will have a battery with a capacity of 3000mAh. The phablet will sport a screen of 5.7-inch, which will offer the same resolution, but the processor will be superior, Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810, with eight cores backed by 3GB of RAM and which will turned on by a battery of 3300mAh.

Both phones will have a rear camera of 20MP using PureView technology, Carl Zeiss optics, OIS, and which will have dual-LED flash, a 1/2.5” sensor size and a 1.12 µm pixel size. The front camera will have a resolution of 5MP.
