Nexus 5 2015 vs. Sony Xperia C5 Ultra – Which One Is Faster?
The Nexus 5 2015 is yet to be released, but rumors about specs have started spreading months ago, and today, we’re seeing everywhere the same details. Lately, no tech website ahs come up with a different variant of hardware configuration, which makes us think that the dice have been cast and there’s no way back. Google made a decision, although the company hasn’t confirmed anything. It will be interesting to see a comparison between the Nexus 5 2015 and Sony’s Xperia C5 Ultra, which has been released in August.
Designs and Displays
The Sony Xperia C5 Ultra is not the slimmest phone, as it measures 8.2mm, but that’s because it’s very tall (164.2mm), in order to accommodate a giant screen of 6-inch which uses IPS LCD technology. The resolution is Full HD, resulting in a pixel density of only 367ppi and as protection, the screen uses a scratch-resistant “shield”. As for the design, the phone has the same metal chassis and glass back as its Xperia siblings, but it’s not dust or water resistant.
The Nexus 5 2015, which has been built by LG, is rumored to measure 146.9 x 72.9 x 8/9.8mm, it will feature a plastic back with matte effect and will have a fingerprint scanner below the camera. The screen will support a Full HD resolution and its size will be 5.2-inch, resulting in a pixel density of 423ppi.
Regarding the Xperia C5 Ultra, we know that it’s powered by a 32bit Mediatek MT6752 octa core processor running at 1.7GHz, which was built using a 28nm processor and it’s backed by 2GB of RAM. It is expected that the Nexus 5 2015 will run on a 64bit Snapdragon 808 processor but with six cores running at 2GHz, and while some rumors say that the RAM capacity will be 2GB, others claim that LG opted for 3GB of RAM.
The Xperia C5 Ultra has an internal memory of 16GB, which is expandable up to 200GB, while the Nexus 5 2015 (Nexus 5x) will probably have the same memory options as the Nexus 6, with capacities of 32 and 64GB, but there are small chances to see a microSD card slot.
Both cameras of the C5 Ultra have a resolution of 13MP and the images look great regardless of light conditions, because there’s a LED flash on each side. The Nexus 5 2015 is expected to have a 13MP camera on the back with OIS, and a secondary camera of 5MP.
The Xperia C5 Ultra houses a large enough battery of 2,930 mAh which goes against the rumored 2,700 battery which will power up the Nexus 5 2015.
