Telltale Games, the developers that are behind the Minecraft: Story Mode, confirmed that the first episode of this game will be released for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC on October 13, 2015.
We have some good news for the gamers who prefer to play games on their mobile devices. It seems that on October 15, 2015, the first episode of Minecraft: Story Mode will also be released for the Android and iOS devices.
In addition, Telltale Games confirmed that Minecraft: Story Mode will also be released for PlayStation Vita and Nintendo Wii. Unfortunately, they didn’t give a release date for these versions yet, but the developers will most likely come with some news regarding this in the upcoming weeks.
The developer of Minecraft: Story Mode has also confirmed that the physical copy of this game (also known as Season pass disc.) has been released and the players who will purchase the physical copy of Minecraft: Story mode will also get access to the next four episodes as soon as they will be available.
In concordance with Game Informer, the physical copy of Minecraft: Story Mode will be found in stores starting from October 27, 2015. However, it is good to know that Telltale Games are releasing physical copies of their games *ONLY * after all the episodes will be released. With other words, this is the first time when the developing company decided to release the physical copy of a game before all the episodes got released.
Depending on how the sales will go with the physical copy of Minecraft: Story Mode, the developing company will decide if it will continue doing this for its future games.
It seems that Paul Reubens, will also join the game’s all-start voice cast. The rest of the cast includes: Dave Fennoy, Corey Feldman, Ashley Johnson, Billy West, Brian Posehn, Catherine Taber, Scott Porter, Martha Plimpton and Patton Oswalt.
Minecraft: Story Mode is the first game created from the incredibly successful “Minecraft” title. At the same time, this is the first time when Telltale Games allows the players to choose the gender and the appearance of the protagonist and each gender comes with three different character models that the players can choose from.
Minecraft: Story Mode will have five episodes and if the sales will go well, we’re sure that the developer will also work on a new Minecraft: Story Mode (season 2).
