Microsoft Lumia 950 XL To Appear On October 6 – What Should We Expect?
According to a photo that was leaked by a Chinese website, Microsoft is preparing to launch its Microsoft Lumia 950 along with the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL version.
Some previous rumors claimed that Microsoft will release two Lumia devices this year: Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL. However, it seems that, for some reason, the American multinational technology company headquartered in Redmond will skip the Lumia 940/XL versions. Other voices said that these are the same phones, but their names have been changed.
According to some previous rumors, the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL will come with a 5.7-inch display which will support a QHD resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. The device will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 810 SoC processor and an Adreno 430 GPU, it will feature an internal storage of 32GB which can be expanded with an microSD card, and it will sport a PureView primary camera of 20MP on the rear side and a 5MP secondary camera on the front side of the device, which can be used for selifes. The device will also feature an iris scanner along with an USB Type-C port and a native pen. The Lumia 950 XL will be backed by a battery of 3300 mAh.
Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL: Release date
According to some reports that surfaced one month ago, Microsoft will most likely announce the release date of both the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL sometime in October. On September 14, 2015 Microsoft has started sending invitations to a media event that will be held on October 6, 2015, where the American multinational technology company headquartered in Redmond is expected to finally unveil its Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL devices.
At this event, we will most likely see other new devices such as the Surface Pro 4 tablet along with a Lumia 550 smartphone. The Lumia 550 is expected to come with a 4.7-inch display, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor and 8GB of internal storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card.
