Apple iPhone 6 vs Google’s Nexus 6 – Who Takes the Crown?

1

Apple iPhone6 has already bought huge success for the Silicon Valley giant as millions of Apple units are sold across the world since it released in September 2015.

The device comes with a clean and premium design along with a large app store that makes it a tough competitor in the market. On the other hand, Google’s Nexus 6 is one of the popular flagship Android currently in the market. Let’s make a comparison between Apple iPhone 6 and Google Nexus 6.

Apple iPhone 6 vs. Google Nexus 6

Design

The Nexus 6 has a 5.96-inch screen, and it is based on the Moto X. The new Moto X looks striking with its curved back, large camera lens and LED ring flash. The look and feel of Nexus 6 is truly interesting indeed.

The iPhone 6 has made a nice change from its block iPhone style that we have seen over the last years. The corners look curved, and the chassis is made out of metal. Hence, everything looks sleeker, thinner and more designed.

The Nexus 6 has a new and refreshing design, but we also appreciate Apple’s new design concept in iPhone6. The iPhone 6 has taken some cues from Android as the new device looks the same as Sony Xperia Z3.

Display

Nexus 6 has 5.96-inch QHD screen display and a pixel density of 493 pixels per inch. The device comprises of the AMOLED screen technology that provides touchless controls to users.

Apple iPhone 6, on the other hand, introduces a retina display that has a pixel density of 300 ppi. The screen resolution of the device is 1334 x 750 pixels that are a bit higher than regular HD display. The Nexus 6 gives a tough competition to iPhone 6 in terms of pixel density, size, design and much more. However, we need to wait and see to select between the two in terms of quality.

System

Both Nexus 6 and iPhone 6 has arrived with the latest version of operating systems. The Nexus 6 features Android Lollipop whereas iPhone 6 has the latest iOS 8.1 operating system. These operating systems work smoothly on the respective devices. However, you need to decide which OS fulfills your requirements best.

Performance

It is not easy to make the comparison between the two phones that you have not used yet as Apple and Android have different components, and, therefore, it is not easy to figure out things presently. However, we are still trying to make a difference between the two in respect of performance.

iPhone 6 has not been changed much compared to iPhone 5S. However, the stability and the fluidity have been improved in iPhone 6, and the co-processor will certainly uphold their end of the bargain.

On the other hand, Nexus 6 has arrived with Quad-Core Snapdragon processor with 2.7 GHZ and 3GB RAM. Considering the 64-bit support in Lollipop, the Nexus 6 has been arrived with a 32-bit chip, and, therefore, the device runs buttery smooth and lags free.

Camera

The camera of Nexus 6 is the weakest point as camera quality is the prime concern of most Smartphones, and its importance is increasing eventually. Nexus 6 offers 13 MP primary camera and 2 MP front cameras. On the other hand, iPhone 6 has come up with an iSight camera that produces outstanding pictures.

Therefore, both Nexus 6 and iPhone 6 offer better specs and performance for users, and it is hard to say who wins the race in the competition because people will choose the one that better fulfill their requirements.
