The Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system is expected to be released this fall. The new Android OS will come with many new features and improvements that will surely please a lot of users.
Google will most likely bring the upcoming Android 6.0 Marshmallow along with its upcoming Nexus 5 2015 (also known as Nexus 5X) and Nexus 6 2015 (also known as Nexus 6P). Without any doubts, these will be the first devices that will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
After the release date of these two devices and the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow, some other Nexus devices will receive the update followed by other devices a few months later.
The upcoming Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come with some new features such as: fingerprint support, Google Drive backup, enhanced application permissions and extended battery life.
According to rumors, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4, Note 5, S5 and S6 will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in early 2016. In concordance with IBTimes, the LG G3 will skip the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update and it will jump directly to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Moto X, Moto G and Droid Turbo devices are also expected to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but it is not yet know when that this will happen. Rumors say that these devices will most likely receive the upcoming Android OS sometime in Q1 of 2016.
According to GospelHerald, the HTC One M8, M9, M+ will also get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but it is not know when this will happen. Finally, Sony’s Xperia Z3, Z3+ and Z4 Tablet are also getting ready to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.
Most of the devices we’ve mentioned above will get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in January-February 2016, but don’t expect all of them to happen very quickly. As soon as we find some new information about this, we will let you know!
