Samsung Galaxy Duo S7 and S7+ – What Features Will They Have?

10

After the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S6, the runner up is believed to be Samsung Galaxy S7. We are betting that Samsung will stick to its standard launch schedule, but as far as the specs and features, there are still a lot to be discovered concerning this upcoming duo.

Based on various innuendoes launched online, Samsung might just equip the Galaxy S7 with an Exynos processor. SamMobile also informs us that “The Galaxy S7 is codenamed Project Lucky internally, but the company is referring to these devices as Hero and Hero2. It is expected to be released in two variants, one with an Exynos 8890 processor and the other with the Snapdragon 820 SoC. Qualcomm has already shipped a newer prototype of the Snapdragon 820 chipset to Samsung, and it appears that this new chipset has better performance than the previous prototype.”

Also, a report dating back from the 11th of September states that Samsung will start to increase the production of the Galaxy S7 units (planned for January of next year) and the big reveal will take place in February. The company is also thinking of including a HTC One M8 dual-sensor camera, but this hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Samsung Galaxy S7 will roll out in two versions

On September 9, another report surfaced online claiming that Samsung is working on two models, the S7 (model SM-G930) and S7+ (model SM-G935). One of them sports a 5.2-inch display and the other one a 5.8-inch display. This means that we can expect one of these two to be a phablet. Guess which one?

A 4K display will also be included, however sources do not hint which of these two devices will support this functionality. But one thing is for sure, Samsung is determined on surpassing the Xperia Z5 Premium device. Other reports claim that the Galaxy devices might deliver 4GB of RAM.

Based on an AnTuTu benchmark the Galaxy S7 might rock a 16MP back end camera and a 5MP front one. These are identical to the camera specs included in the Galaxy S6 device. However, SamMobile reveals the fact that Samsung is trying out a dual-camera and a 20MP ISOCELL sensor. This device might also sport an OLED screen and the micrsoSD card slot might be part of the package as well. Expect this upcoming device to run on Android Marshmallow. Samsung’s newest gizmo might see the light of day at the Mobile World Congress scheduled in February 2017.
