Tomorrow, Google will hold its event in San Francisco and with this occasion, the company will unveil the awaited LG Nexus 5 and Huawei Nexus 6P flagships. They will come loaded with the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and according to a report from Canada, the next Google devices which will be upgraded to the new OS will be the Motorola Nexus 6 (2914) and LG Nexus 5 (2013).
It seems that the owners of the previous Nexuses won’t need to wait too long until Marshmallow will be available for these devices. According to Telus, Canada’s second biggest telecommunication firm, the Motorola Nexus 6 and LG Nexus 5 are programmed to get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow on October 5, a week later after the OS will be launched in san Francisco. This information was posted on the company’s website, but shortly after the software details reached the media, Telus took down the release schedule of Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Luckily, many bloggers took screenshots of Telus’ page and the information was rapidly spread, but Google refused to give any statement regarding this subject, preferring to remain silent until the event which will take place tomorrow.
We remind you that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come with support for fingerprint scanners, the Chrome browser will be faster, Google Photos will be improved, and Auto back-up will automatically store data (less than 25MB) to the Google Drive. Google has worked on some power saving feature which will extend the battery life, after this option failed to be introduced in v5.0 Lollipop.
As for the new Nexuses, the one that has been created by LG will have a 5.3-inch Full HD screen, it will run on a Snapdragon 808 hexa core processor with 2GB or 3GB of RAM, it will house two variants of internal memories: 16Gb and 32GB, unexpandable, while the cameras will have a resolution of 12.3MP and 5MP. The Nexus 6P, which has been created by Huawei, will feature a metal body (the Nexus 5X will come with a plastic design) and its screen will measure 5.7-inch (QHD resolution). The processor will probably be a Snapdragon 810 octa core, which will be backed by 3GB of RAM, but we have no information regarding the cameras.
