iOS 9.1 BETA 3 Update Download Available – What Should We Expect From It?

0

Yesterday, Apple has made available the iOS 9.1 BETA 3 download for those who are registered with an official Apple developer account. Only three weeks have passed since Apple has released the initial iOS 9.1 beta to the developer community, which clearly shows that they are getting closer and closer to release this new iOS version to the public.

Those who currently have the iOS 9.1 BETA 2 installed on an iPhone, iPod or Ipad will be able to access the BETA 3 via OTA update (over-the-air). To access it just go to your iDevice’s Settings->General->Software Update and check for an available update. The IPSW file can also be downloaded from the Apple Developer Center, for those who prefer to manually install the new iOS version. The firmware version has been uploaded to Apple’s servers and has the build number 13B5130b.

The release note doesn’t come with too much information regarding the new firmware, but Apple has included some “known issues”, providing details about already known bugs and errors that you might find.

Apple has also added four new wallpapers to this new iOS version. From now on, you will be able to choose 3 new planets, while the existing wallpaper has received a makeover.

Apple will most likely introduce more new features to the iOS 9.1 once it will reach the public beta test. It seems that the new iOS 9.1 also supports the iPad Pro, as it is now compatible with the new smart keyboard and Apple Pencil accessories.

For now, nobody knows when the iOS 9.1 will get to the “pre-released” stage, but hopefully that will happen soon enough. However, until that will happen, we’re pretty sure that there will be at least two new betas. However, until then, if you have a registered developer account, you can already get access to the iOS 9.1 BETA 3, allowing you to install it on your iDevice.
