Android 6.0 Marshmallow has been finally released and it comes with many new features and improvements. If you didn’t upgrade yet to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, then you’re in the right place, as we’re going to reveal top 3 new features that this new operating system comes with.
Doze – Improved Battery Life
Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes with a new feature that’s called Doze and it will greatly improve the battery life of your device. The new feature uses a clever combination of software and hardware sensors to learn when your device is in idle. Once the feature detects that your device is in idle, it will automatically disable the app updates background processes along with other battery-draining features.
However, if you will receive a text message or a Facebook post, don’t worry, because you will still get notifications.
Google Now is without any doubts one of the best features that’s included in the Android OS. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will allow users to draw information from Google Now from anywhere within the OS. With other words, if you tap on the home button while looking at a picture with a hamburger or some other food, Google Now will look for a restaurant or a place where you can eat.
Unlocking The Device Or Paying Using Your Fingerprint
Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes with full fingerprint sensor support. With other words, you will be able to unlock your device using your fingerprint or even make payments via the Android Pay.
We remind you that both the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P come with fingerprint scanners and we expect more and more mobile devices in the future that will have fingerprint scanners.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes with many new features and improvements and we’re sure that there are a lot of users out that who would want to test it out. Unfortunately, only the Nexus devices will start to receive this new operating system soon enough.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be released for other devices (not the ones owned by Google) sometime by the end of 2015 or at the beginning of 2016.
