Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S5 Got The Android 5.1.1 OTA Update

The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OTA update is being released in stages for devices belonging to the Galaxy series, if you own a Galaxy Note 5 or a Galaxy S5, you should get ready for the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OTA update.

Keep in mind that depending on the region you live in and the carrier you are connected to, this OTA update will be released for your Android device sooner or later.

The new Android Lollipop OTA for the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S5 comes with many bug fixes, along with a fix for the StageFright Security bug which could allow hackers to gain control of infected devices and steal data from them.

The Galaxy Note 5 will receive Android 5.1.1 N920IDVU2AOJ4 OTA, which has around 150MB in size. If you have a limited data plan, we suggest you to connect to a Wi-Fi network, if you haven’t seen the update notification on your device, don’t worry, because you will receive it sooner or later.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Received The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OTA Update

If you own a Galaxy S5 device then and you’re connected to the AT&T mobile carrier, you should get ready for the Android Lollipop OTA update. This update is expected to come to your device in any moment. However, keep in mind that the OTA update will be released only for the Galaxy S5 devices that run the stock Android OS, with other words, if you run a custom ROM on your Galaxy S5 device, you will not receive the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OTA update.

The new Android Lollipop for the Galaxy S5 devices comes with the firmware version G900AUCU4COI5 and it has around 600MB, We suggest you to connect to a Wi-Fi network when you want to download the OTA update, to not waste your mobile data.
