Samsung Galaxy S5 Devices Received Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Update
The Galaxy S5 (modem number SM-G900A) devices that are connected to the AT&T carrier are now receiving the Android Lollipop update. We remind you that this Galaxy S5 model is currently running on Android 5.0 Lollipop and has the firmware version G900AUCU4COI5.
The new Android Lollipop comes with many new additions, such as bug fixes or security patches. The latest update that has been released by AT&T for Galaxy S5 has a file size that varies between 610MB to 999MB, depending on the installed build version from the smartphone.
Keep in mind that the OTA update will be released in phases, and depending on the country you live in, you will receive the update sooner or later, you can also manually check for the update by going to your Galaxy S5’s Settings->Device->Software Update->Update Now.
Samsung has released its Galaxy S5 device back in 2014. This device has a 5.1-inch super AMOLED capacitive touch-screen display which supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 432ppi. The device features a Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 chipset which is formed from a quad-core Krait 400 clocked at 2.5GHz and it’s paired with an Adreno 330 GPU. The device was released with Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box, but it was soon updated to the Android 5.0 Lollipop, this smartphone features a primary camera of 16MP that’s found on the rear side and a secondary camera of only 2MP which is located on the front side of the device.
The Galaxy S5 comes with 16/32GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card, the device has 2GB of RAM and it powered by a 2800 mAh battery.
