WhatsApp Quick Reply Feature for iOS 9.1 iPhones – What’s New?

0

The iPhone owners were looking forward to the arrival of the iOS 9.1 and Apple didn’t let them down, because the new OS comes with many internal improvements and new features. Since there are millions of WhatsApp users who own an iPhone, it was about time for the developers to update the application so it could have access to the Quick Reply feature.

Thanks to this feature, the users will reply to their contacts from the Notification banner, and they will need to pull it down and start typing the message before the Notification banner goes back again. But we remind you that this feature will work only if the users will update their iPhones to iOS 9.1.

The Quick Reply was a feature that was made available in Apple’s own messaging app when it came along with the iOS 8, and now, the company allows third party applications to use it too. Many applications started taking advantage of it, only WhatsApp’s developers didn’t hurry to use it right away. In the end, the feature became available for the WhatsApp users who own an iPhone, but to benefit from it, they need to update their devices to iOS 9.1, which was released almost a week ago.

Apple advises its users to make this step because many other reasons, especially because it brings bug fixes, stability improvements and new emojis.

Regarding the Quick Reply feature, if it’s not working after installing iOS 9.1, then maybe it’s because you haven’t closed the WhatsApp app. If you can’t close it, open Multitasking UI and force close the application, then reopen it and try to reply to someone using the Quick Reply feature.

If you’ve bought an Apple Watch and you’ve already updated your iPhone to iOS 9.1, you can use your smartwatch to reply to your contacts. Apple added preset replies, but you can try other dictating options as well.

We remind you that WhatsApp is the most used application of the moment, having over 900 million active users. But the application is available on multiple platforms and the iOS version occupies the second position after Android, when it comes to the number of active users.
