The first beta of OS X 10.11 El Capitan has been released on October 27 and it’s already being tested by the members of the Apple Beta Software Program, this pre-release build of OS X 10.11.2 is known as 15C27e and it focuses on bug fixes and other improvements.

OS X El Capitan 10.11.2 Beta 1 can be downloaded from the Apple Developer Portal or via Mac App Store’s Software Update section. As we were saying in the introduction, this update contains only bug fixes and some security updates, Apple has focused particularly on improving the Wifi, Mail app, graphics, Calendar, Notes app, Photos app, USB and Spotlight. Also, the Safari View Controller, which is used as an in-app browser by many applications supported by iOS, has received some improvements, the users will reload pages without content blockers and they will use any type of extension created for Safari.

The Mac users which have joined the Apple Beta Software Program will receive the build shortly, but it will roll out in phases, then it will be followed by the public beta. So, if you want to be among the first to run Apple’s beta software, join the public beta programs, it’s free, but you’re advised to use a secondary Mac, in case the updates are buggy and will cause you frustrations.

So, if you’re currently running an older version of OS X and you’re thinking of upgrading to the latest beta 1 of 10.11.2 update, this isn’t the best idea, but, if you don’t mind those bugs and want to know how what the next OS X version will bring, then take a risk.

Apple released also the first beta of iOS 9.2 for the supported iPhones, iPads and iPods, and it was identified as build 13C5055d, this version brings support for the Apple Pencil, a feature that is required by the iPad Pro, the premium tablet which will come with a stylus.
