Over a month has passed since Google has unveiled the final version of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. As many have expected, the big search engine company has released the OTA update on its Nexus devices and it seems that, currently, a good part of the Nexus 5, 6, 7 and 9 devices out there run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
However, not all devices have this new OS right now, as the OTA update is rolling out in phases. With other words, depending on the country you live in and the carrier you are connected to, you will get the new OS sooner or later.
The factory images can already be manually downloaded and installed on your Nexus 5, 6, 7 and 9 devices, but if you’ve never done this before, we suggest you to just wait for the OTA update, as you could damage your device if you do something wrong during the installation process.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini To Receive The Android 6.0 Marshmallow This Month
It seems that US Cellular and Samsung have agreed to support the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Galaxy S5 Mini. Currently, this device is being tested with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow and if everything goes well, we could see the latest Android OS OTA Update being released for this device before the end of November.
It seems that the device will go through a certification procedure from the US Cellular in order to make sure that the device receives a high quality software experience. If rumors prove to be right, this will last at least two weeks and with a bit of luck we might see the Android 6.0 Marshmallow on the Galaxy S5 Mini being rolled out this November.
The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will be released for the Galaxy S5 Mini devices (build number SM-G800R4) that have been released for the US Cellular carrier.
Do you think that the Galaxy S5 Mini will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update before the end of November?
