The Galaxy Note 4 units available via Verizon Wireless are standing by to run their bench tests of the Android M upgrade. Needles to say that the latter upgrade will be jam-packed with enhancements in the UI category, the security section and more.

According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will perform the testing of the Android M in the month of November, Verizon will be leading this entire verification process, thus ensuring that the Marshmallow upgrade will be running flawlessly on the latter units.

Such a procedure was to be expected as back in the month of October, Samsung announced that the Android 6.0 M upgrade will reach a vast array of Galaxy gizmos in the Q1 and Q2 of 2016. The devices that were enumerated included:

  • Samsung Galaxy Note 5,
  • Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6,
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 and the list goes on. Important: The devices that are available via Verizon Wireless will receive the software upgrade whenever the carrier decides to implement it.

Currently, the Galaxy Note 4 devices (no. SM- N910V) have the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop and are still waiting for the higher Android 5.1.1 version.

The new options that will be available with this new software upgrade will definitely please a lot of users. First of all, there is the Doze element which will aid users in saving more of their battery juice. An improved UI as well as the security enhancements and the new apps permissions are just a few other neat options to look forward to with the Android Marshmallow rollout.

You can always manually check for the update, go to Settings, click on About Phone and tap on Check for updates. However, you should be patient because the update will definitely roll out via OTA by January of 2016.
