Big news for all you LG G4 enthusiasts, the company started to roll out the Android M upgrade in South Korea after last month’s Poland release. You might ask yourself, why Poland? Apparently, behind this release, the company intended to dry run the Android 6.0 upgrade and basically test the waters. The fact that the company decided to take this rollout even further and launch it in South Korea can only mean one thing: there were no major glitches or other bugs with the upgrade and the whole process was spotless.
The LG G4 devices that will be receiving the Android Marshmallow update are the following: LG-F500K, LG-F500L and LG-F500S as noted by Android Central.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow and its features
The Doze functionality that is part of the Android M upgrade is a big improvement and maybe the most highly-anticipated features. The latter is believed to improve one’s battery life duration with 30%. Note: This all depends on the hardware of your handset, so if the components are not that great, do not expect miracles over night. Besides the Doze functionality, users should also look forward to experiment with the Now on Tap , enjoy premium security options as well as the new fingerprint sensor.
For other LG G4 owners that reside in Europe or Asia, the company hasn’t made any official statements on when they will roll out the Android M upgrade. North America is thought to be the last one on the list to receive the upgrade because this is all in the hands of the carriers, which have to deal with a lot of red tape. But, it will get there not to worry. If you are from Poland or South Korea and you have already received the update, feel free to share your thoughts with us.
