LG G Series and Moto G 3nd Gen to Receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update
The LG G series devices such as LG G Stylo, LG G4, LG G3 and LG G Flex 2, will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update soon, in concordance with GSMArena, LG already confirmed the speculated rumors and that these devices are now confirmed to receive the latest Android OS version.
Chris Ye, the head marketing communication and vice president at LG, revealed this week that LG G4 will be the first LG device that will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. The update will be released over-the-air (OTA), which means that some users might get later or sooner (depending on the regional position and mobile carrier). Once the LG G4 will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the LG G Stylo, LG G Flex 2 and LG G3 will follow.
Chris Ye didn’t reveal a date when the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for LG G4 will be released, but this will most likely happen this month, the first country that will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update of LG G4 will be Poland and after that it will be released in America, Asia and Europe.
Soak Test Leaks Have Surfaced Showing Android 6.0 Marshmallow on Moto G (3rd Generation)
We have some good news for the Moto G (3rd generation) owners, some test leak has surfaced and it shows this device running on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
According to AndroidGeeks, Ajmal Khadar, a Moto G community member, posted two screenshots from a friend’s handset that received the Android 6.0 Marshmallow early limited beta test, also known as “soak test”.
The screenshot was showing “Android Security Patch Level” listed for the “November 1, 2015” with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow version number 23.11.en.03 and the build number MPI24.65-3. If these pictures are not fake, it means that the Moto G (3rd generation) devices will most likely receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow soon.
However, we remind you that Moto G is a mid-tier device, which means that Motorola is most likely also testing some high-end devices such as the Moto X Style (Pure Edition).
