The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is about to be released for the LG G series such as LG G2, G3, G4 G Flex 2 that are connected to Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint.

Currently, all the eligible Nexus devices are running on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, it’s about time for the non-Nexus devices to receive the latest Android OS version. We remind you that the LG G4 was scheduled to be the first non-Nexus device that will get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. Unfortunately, due to some issues, this couldn’t happen and the release date of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for it was delayed.

According to some reports, the issues are now fixed and the LG G4 devices should start to receive this update in Europe in Q1 of 2016. With other words, it’s just a matter of time until this update hits Asia and North America. If rumors prove to be right, the LG G4 will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update before February 2016, while the other LG G devices such as G2, G3 or G Flex2 will follow shortly after that.

T-Mobile mobile carrier already confirmed on its support forum that it is preparing for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the LG G series smartphones. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will be released over the air (OTA), which means that according to the carrier, your device is connected to and the country you live in, your device will receive the update sooner or later.

You will also be able to manually check for the update by going your device’s Settings->About Device->Software Update and tap on “Check for Updates”.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes with many changes related to the material design, but it also brings new features such as Doze, which will improve the battery life of your device, you will also notice other new features, icons and animations.
