Mozilla has tested its Firefox browser on iOS since September and it seems that from now on, this browser can be installed by anyone who owns an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.
Mozilla has always released its software using test phases, so it was no surprise that the availability of its Firefox browser for iOS devices has slowly been enlarger over a long period of time. They’ve received many feedbacks from the ones who’ve tested the application while it was in BETA phase, which helped them to improve the browser.
We remind you that in December 2014, Mozilla has released its Firefox for iOS. A few months later, in May 2015, Firefox for iOS was available only for a limited number of testers. Finally, a public beta was released in September 2015 and it seems that, now, the application is in its final version and can be downloaded by anyone who owns an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.
If you’ve been using the Mozilla Firefox on your computer, then you should know that you can log into your Firefox account. With other words, you will be able to import all the saved bookmarks, browsing history, passwords and tabs to your mobile device.
The Firefox browser runs pretty nice and loads web pages very fast in iOS, but at the same time there are also other browsers that run and load web pages very fast too. With other words, some might like Firefox while others will still stick to their older browser because of the design, tweaks etc.
With other words, if you’ve been using Chrome for quite a while and you have all your personalized bookmarks, passwords, extensions etc., it will be quite hard to switch over Firefox when there is just a small difference in terms of performance.
If your Apple device runs on iOS 8.2 or a newer version, you can head to the Apple Store and install Firefox on your mobile device.
