Lenovo has unveiled its latest smartphone in China, but the Vibe X3 is available in three variants which have the same screen size. However, the higher-end models share the same processor, while the third variant is the “Youth” version with a different and slightly weaker processor.
The Lenovo Vibe X3 is the successor of the X2, so it has a similar design, but instead of sharp edges, it has more rounded shapes. The body is made of metal and on the front side are places stereo speakers. The device measures 154×76.5×9.3mm, it weights 175grams and it sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD screen with a Full HD resolution at 401, which benefits from Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Also, on the back, right under the rear camera sits a fingerprint scanner and since we’ve told you that the phone comes in three variants, there are some features they have in common, such as the Dolby Audio, three TI OPA1612 amplifiers, but the sound is also enhanced using Sabre 9018C2M DAC. In addition, the Vibe X3 has a Cirrus Logic WM8281 codec which is handling the echo and noise.
The two higher-end Vibe X3 models are powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor which is backed by Adreno 418 graphics and 3GB of RAM, and they have a 23MP rear camera with Sony IMX230 sensor, which supports phase detection autofocus, dual LED flash and 4K video recording, while the front camera has a resolution of 8MP. The battery has a capacity of 3,600mAh and besides the fact that it’s pretty massive, it supports QuickCharge 2.0. Regarding the connectivity options, the phone comes with support for 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and has a microUSB. Also, the internal memory which is available in variants of 32GB and 64GB can be expanded up to 128GB with a microSD card.
The third variant of the Vibe X3 is powered by a slower octa-core MediaTek processor which runs at 1.3GHz and it’s paired with 2GB of RAM. Also, its cameras are weaker, supporting resolutions of 13MP and 5MP, while the battery has a capacity of 3,400mAh.
In the USA, the Youth variant of the Vibe X3 costs $300, while the 32GB variant of the higher-end model costs 390$ and the 64GB variant is priced at $470.
