HTC One X9 Comes with Octa-Core Processor, 2GB RAM, and 5.5-Inch IPS Screen
IPhone-like images of the new HTC One X9 have been doing rounds all over the web for the past few weeks.
These rumors have finally begun gathering momentum thanks to reports that the flagship has now passed certification tests by the Chinese Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center.
Earlier this month, there were leaks of the One X9 gizmo, with many suggesting that smartphone manufacturers have finally come to the realization that Apple has it all when it comes to design.
Despite the image leaks and the recent revelations by China’s TENAA (the equivalent of FCC), HTC has yet to mention anything about the new phone, which is also known as HTC One X9u. The certification by the country’s body revealed a number of specs that come equipped with this phone as well as several photos of the handset.
Features of HTC One X9u
The current reports about this new phone are an indicator that all previous rumors about the One X9 were true. In the listing by TENAA, the One X9 will come with a screen size of 5.5 inches and it will include IPS technology as well as theresolution of 1920 by 1080n pixels. The currently known color variant as per the site is silver gray, but we expect more variants to be availed once the device is released.
Under the hood you will come across an octa-core processor that can clock up to 2.2 GHz and yes, you guessed it right: the SoC will be the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820.
When it comes to dimensions, the One X9u measures 153.2 by 75.9 by 7.99 mm, and it weighs about 174 grams. Based on the image leaks doing rounds, the new HTC flagship will probably come with a body that is partly metallic. The phone will also be installed with 2GB of RAM as well onboard memory of 16GB. If this storage space is not enough, there is a microSD card slot that can accommodate up to 1TB.
HTC has packed a 3,000mAh battery unit in the One X9u, a 13MP rear snapper and 5MP snapper on the front. As far as software is concerned, the new gadget will be equipped with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, but an upgrade to the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow is expected later on.
As noted earlier, HTC has chosen to remain silent on the matters surrounding the new HTC One X9u. However, rumor has it that this device will be availed to the public in early 2016, just before the rumored HTC One M10 flagship is released.
