BlackBerry Priv Best Hidden Tips – Enhance Your Experience

0

The BlackBerry Priv is not another BlackBerry smartphone running on BlackBerry 10 OS. This is the first device created by the Canadian manufacturer which supports another mobile operating system and it’s Android, whose popularity is increasing by the day. However, the BlackBerry Priv still has some specific design elements which will make you feel nostalgic, because if you used to own an older model with a QWERTY keyboard, you’ll be delighted to write messages with it and manage them in one location – BlackBerry Hub. If you want to improve your experience with this great phone, on which you’ll be able to install any Android application, then check out our list of tips and tricks.

Mark All Messages As Read

This feature works in BlackBerry Hub, where you will press and hold the date and all messages received until that date will be selected. Now, in the top right-hand corner you will see a three dot menu button on which you will tap and two options will appear: delete or mark as read.

Deleting From Hub And Server

If you no longer want to be part of the BB Hub and server, you will go to Hub > Settings > Delete on and you will select your preference. This will stop spam messages from being sent to you.

Choose What Accounts You Want To Appear In the BlackBerry Hub View

In the BB Hub, you will see most of the messages in one view. But, there are accounts which you can disable, to no longer appear there, such as Twitter, and to do that, go to Hub > Settings and scroll down until you see Views. After tapping this option, you will be able to uncheck anything you no longer wish to see in the BlackBerry Hub view.

BlackBerry Keyboard Shortcuts

They’re the same shortcuts which were available on the keyboard for BB10 and earlier, so, if you’re using Hub app, then you’ll be able to perform many quick actions. By pressing the T key you’ll jump to the top, while the B key will take you to the bottom and C will open a new email.

Installing A Different On-screen Keyboard

Remember that now you’re using an Android device and you can install a third party keyboard from the Google Play store. If you’re looking for a faster keyboard than what BlackBerry is offering, you might want to install SwiftKey.

Enabling Ok Google Hotword On The Screen

This feature can be enabled by going to Google Now > Settings > Voice. From the OK Google detection setting, you will have the option to make your phone to respond to OK Google from any screen and it will receive voice commands.

Use Emoji

The BB keyboard has lots of emoji characters, so if you want to use them, you’ll need to open the menu by pressing and holding the “.” button. The emoji keyboard will appear when you’ll tap the smiley face.
