Hide Apps in iOS 9 Without Jailbreaking It
Hiding applications is one of the features that anyone who owns an iOS device would like to have on it. If you have a device that runs on a jailbroken iOS, then you’re in luck, as there are many tools that allow you to hide applications with a single tap.
However, since iOS 9 is still quite new, there are not many people who want to take the risk and jailbreak their iPhones or iPads, as there are still many issues that the hacking groups need to fix.
Today we’re going to teach you how to hide applications on your iDevice that runs on iOS 9 without even jailbreaking it. First of all, you will need one of two wallpapers, a white one and a gray one. We agree that neither of them is attractive, but we suggest you to give it a try. You can pick one of them or both if you want and save them to your iOS device’s Camera Roll. Apply one of the two wallpapers with the “Still” setting selected.
After that, you will need to go to your device’s General->Accessibility->Increase Contrasts. If you’ve picked the gray background, make sure that the Reduce Transparency option is enabled. If you’ve picked the white background, disable the Reduce Transparency feature.
Now, you will need to create a folder and copy inside it all the applications that you want to hide. To set the folder’s name as blank, you will need to paste some blank characters inside it. After doing this, you will have a folder without a name and the background of all the applications that are inside should have disappeared.
Finally, download and install the App Icon Free application from the App Store, as you will need it to create “blank” icons. Launch the App Icons Free application and tap on Create->Go To Link-> Photo->Camera Roll. Choose one of the two wallpapers that you’ve used earlier and inside the field below the icon you will need to enter the same blank characters that you’ve used when you’ve created the “blank” folder. After that, you will need to follow the instructions to add the icon to the device’s Home page.
Now, you will notice that the folder completely blends in with the Home Screen wallpaper thanks to the blank icon in it. When tapping the invisible folder and swiping over to the second page of applications you will see everything you’re hiding.
