Minecraft for Wii U has not been announced yet, but this is expected to happen very soon. The European rating agency has accidentally leaked some news of the game and right now we already known for a while that the Minecraft Story Mode for Wii U will be released soon.
As most of you already know, the Minecraft game was firstly released for PC, but because of its huge success, the developers have decided to release it for consoles. However, the Minecraft for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 were quite limited, as both have brought the players to a single little map. However, this was expected, since Xbox 360 has only 512MB of RAM and couldn’t handle the full Minecraft PC experience.
However, once the Minecraft was released for the current-gen consoles Xbox One and PlayStation 4, the size of the map was 36 times bigger than the size of the map found on the Minecraft for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
We’re not sure if Minecraft: Wii U version will come with a “small” map or it will have the same size as the Minecraft version for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. However, it is good to know that Wii U is a bit more powerful than a PlayStation 3, but at the same time, the first Minecraft console edition was originally limited by the even weaker Xbox 360 console. At the same time the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are way better than the Wii U in terms of processing power.
This means that Minecraft: Wii U Edition can’t come with a map as large as the one found on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles. But, at the same time, it can be bigger than the one found on Minecraft: Xbox 360 or Minecraft: PlayStation 3.
Minecraft: Wii U version is expected to be announced in the upcoming weeks. We will let you know if we find anything new about it.
