Samsung will probably start soon rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update for its Galaxy S6 smartphone. These rumors have surfaced after some screenshots have showed a Galaxy S6 running on the latest Android OS along with the new TouchWiz UI design.
According to a document that has been leaked last month, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update was in test phase for the Galaxy S6 on November 15, 2015. The same document showed the estimated time of the arrival of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow for Galaxy S6 and it was January 2016.
Well, this might happen sooner than expected, as it seems that the device has passed the tests, at the same time, the Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge+ are also expected to receive the Android Marshmallow OTA update soon. These two devices were also in testing phase back on November 15, 2015, but they’ve probably passed the tests and they will also receive the latest Android OS before the end of 2015 or at the beginning of January 2016.
HTC One M8 Received Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA Update Now Available In The US
Mo Versi, the HTC President of Product Managed, announced on December 2, 2015 that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update will be released within 24 hours for the HTC One M8 unlocked devices in the US. This means that since yesterday, this headset has started receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update.
Unfortunately, we’re not sure yet when the owners of the HTC One M8 from Europe will start receiving the Android M OTA Update. However, it is expected that in a few weeks this update will also be released in Europe, there is no official news regarding this, but hopefully Versi will come with new information soon enough.
