OnePlus X and OnePlus 2 Invite Free – Should You Buy It?
The Chinese mobile phone manufacturer has been using the invite system since the release of its first smartphone and this was like a measure of protection, as the company must have thought that this way, they are not making too many devices which won’t be sold. In reality, the fans were very frustrated because they were able to buy the OnePlus One only through an invitation which they obtained after participating to promotions, or by receiving an invite from a friend who managed to get his/her hands on the phone. Luckily, the second OnePlus flagship will be invite free forever, while the newest OnePlus X model will benefit from this offer until December 7.
On December 17, OnePlus will celebrate its second anniversary and the company is grateful to its fans, who believed in this project and wanted to be part of the family. We’re considering the owners of the OnePlus One and Two devices members of a family because not everyone had access to these phones, as they were sold through a confusing invite system. Meanwhile, the manufacturer has released a third device called OnePlus X, which is smaller than its siblings, initially being rumored that it will come with the name of OnePlus Mini.
The biggest news that the fans have been waiting happened yesterday, when OnePlus has announced that the OnePlus Two will no longer be purchased using an invite and this offer won’t be temporary, so if you’ve saved $329 or $389, then you are now able to spend the money on one of the two variants of the OnePlus Two with 16GB or 64Gb of internal memory. The device has a 5.5-inch screen supporting a Full HD resolution at 401ppi, it’s powered by a Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 octa core processor (quad-core 1.56 GHz Cortex-A53 and quad-core 1.82 GHz Cortex-A57) which is backed by 3GB or 4GB of RAM, depending on the storage option and has a 13MP main camera with OIS, laser autofocus and dual-LED flash, while the secondary camera is 5MP.
The OnePlus X will be invite-free until December 7. The device has a smaller AMOLED screen sized at 5-inch, which has the same resolution, but it gives a higher pixel density of 441ppi. Inside, it houses an older 32bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 processor which is backed by 3GB of RAM, and its pair of cameras consists of a main shooter of 13MP which supports phase detection autofocus and LED flash, while the other shooter has an impressive resolution of 8MP.
In addition, OnePlus is offering other deals until December 7, such as:
OnePlus 2 StyleSwap Covers are 50% off;
Select OnePlus One accessories are 90% off;
All other accessories are 10% off;
Some of the buyers will get an exclusive Never Settle mousepad.
