PlayStation 2 Games Which Will Run On The PlayStation 4
There are some PlayStation 2 games which the owners of the latest PS4 want to play on these consoles. Sony has thought about bringing these games to the new console, but the users still need to buy the games, even if they have them on a PS2 disc. This offer will be available in Europe and in the Americas.
Sony had a press release on Friday and with this occasion, they company has showed a video on YouTube with two old games for PS 2, Rogue Galaxy and Dark Cloud ,which were running in HD on a PS4 console. Before rushing to jump for joy because these games can be played on the latest console, you should know that “PS2 Classics and PS2-formatted discs are incompatible with the PS4 system.” This means that the PSD game disc isn’t supported by the current-generation console and you’ll need to buy a compatible version for the PS4. But the good news is that the titles will be upgraded, so if you’re nostalgic about the PS2 titles and want to play them on your PS4 console, you’ll see some changes.
Microsoft will do exactly the opposite thing with its Xbox 360 video games, which will work for free on the Xbox One console. This means that the gamers will be able to get the games as a digital download or on a physical disc and the list of compatible games is huge. Lat month, the Redmond, Washington-based tech giant already announced the 104 Xbox 360 games which will be ported to the Xbox One.
The PS 2 games which will be played on PS4 are, currently, GTA III, GTA Vice City, GRA San Andreas, Twisted Metal Black, War of the Monsters, Rogue Galaxy, Dark Cloud and The Mark of Kri and their prices vary between $10 and $15.
In November, Sony has sold over 30.2 million PS 4 consoles across the globe, a lot more than Microsoft’s Xbox One and Nintendo’s Wii U. The PS 4 console has been released exactly two years ago.
