Motorola Moto X Pure Edition With Galaxy Note 4 Upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow

On Tuesday, Motorola has published its list of all Motorola devices that will be upgraded to the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow and on that list were included the Moto E 4G (2015) and the Moto X Pure Edition (2015) which is sold in the US, through some carriers. The Galaxy Note 4 owners from Hungary are also able to install the latest Android version on their phablets.

According to David Schuster, Motorola’s senior director of software product management, the Moto X Pure Edition (2015) from the US, who bought their devices from Verizon, Sprint or US Cellular are now able to upgrade their flagships to the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Also, the soak test for the Moto X Play and Moto X Force users from Brazil have started recently and the Moto X Play users from India are also preparing to receive the Marshmallow in short time. However, it’s not sure when the rest of the Moto X Pure Edition devices in the U.S. will receive this update, but the good news is that on the list was included the low end Moto E 4G (2015) handset, but only for those who live in Canada, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Other Motorola devices which will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow are the Moto G (2015), Moto X (2014), Moto G (2014) and Moto E (2014), the Droid Turbo 2, Droid Turbo (2014), Droid Maxx 2, Droid Maxx 2 (2014), Moto X Force and Nexus 6.

As for the Galaxy Note 4, the phablet will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow firstly in Hungary, and some user already posted a video on YouTube with its smartphone benefiting from the new features and the updated TouchWiz UI. According to a leak, the Samsung devices that are programmed to receive the Marshmallow version are the Note 5 (in December), Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge+ (in January).

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow brought some changes for the Note 4, such as the Note 5’s Air Command, the Off Screen Memo feature, the Google Now on Tap feature, Doze, the power saver mode etc.
