Oppo R7S to Launch on December 1: 5.5-Inch Display, Rose Gold Variant, and More
China has in recent times grown to become one of the hottest regions when it comes to manufacturing spec-packed devices that sell at very affordable prices.
It has done so with the Xiaomi and Huawei’s of this world, and there is even much better news coming in as another Chinese OEM will be launching a new phablet at the beginning of next month. Oppo is the name of the OEM and according to the latest reports, December 1 will be the day we get to see a new Oppo R7S smartphone that is meant for the mid-class market.
It is not the first time this manufacturer is coming in with a smartphone. In fact, previous models such as Oppo R7 and Oppo R7 Plus have been huge success stories in the country, and the company hopes that the story will be the same with this new device. To ensure this materializes, Oppo will be unveiling a rose gold version to match the newly launched iPhone 6S rose gold version, but as you’d expect, the latter is priced more than the former, which will be one of attracting customers to the new device.
Not so many people are aware of this brand name Oppo, but once you get your hands on one of the company’s gadgets, you will for sure be full of praise, just as other reviewers have been. The spec-packed version of the R7 is already available for pre-orders in some parts of the world, but most countries will get it for the month of December fades away.
Oppo R7S features and pricing
The new Oppo R7S is a beef up of the older R7, and it will be available for just $399 starting this December 1. On the same day, buyers in the UK, Germany as well as France will be able to get the same device via pre-orders made on Amazon.
If you are familiar with the $400-smartphones, you won’t see anything strange with this phone’s specs. As mentioned earlier, the screen size will be 5.5 inches with support for AMOLED technology and a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels. The phone will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 615 chip that clocks a speed of 1.5GHz and will be supported by a RAM of 4GB.
On board storage memory is 32GB and the Oppo R7S will feature a microSD card slot that can accommodate up to 128GB. On the rear of the device,snapper that comes with phase detection autofocus technology, a single LED flash a 13MP as well as capability to record 1080p videos. The front has an 8MP snapper, which is super-amazing for taking selfies. The R7S will be powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop.
Despite coming in with an amazing all-metal device, Oppo still has to face off some competition from the new Huawei Mate 8 as well as the updated Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.
