iPhone 6 Explodes In A Guy’s Pocket – Serious Incident in Malaysia
Are high end products of a high quality, in accordance with their prices? Well, it seems that not all that glitters is gold and not every smartphone that costs $649 will last forever. Well, believe it or not, but a man has suffered serious injuries after his iPhone 6 suddenly exploded in his pants pocket. The incident happened in a Malaysian state, when the owner was walking in the park, at around 11 PM.
Ashraf Muhammad Daud, the owner of the iPhone 6 said that he heard a loud explosion and he felt that the area where he was keeping the device was burning, so he grabbed the phone and he threw it on the ground. The iPhone 6 was emitting smoke and the owner knew that he couldn’t do anything to save it, but he took it home and in the next day, he went to MAC City, where their representatives promised they’ll make investigations in order to find out the cause of explosion. But Ashraf Muhammad Daud had the unpleasant surprise to be accused of modifying the phone which he bought in early February, although he didn’t do anything to it.
The iPhone 6 was released last year, in September, being the first bigger Apple flagship, featuring a 4.7-inch, as until now, the smartphone came with a 4-inch display. The resolution was also increased to 750 x 1334 pixels, but the pixel density remained the same at 326ppi. The phone came with an Apple A8 dual-core 1.4 GHz Typhoon (ARM v8-based) processor which was backed by 1GB of RAM and it had a primary camera of 8MP with phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash and Full HD video recording, while the front camera was 1.2MP. These resolutions have been kept since the release of the iPhone 4S.
This is not the first time that an iPhone 6 explodes, similar case happened last October in Arizona in a man’s pants, causing second-degree burns.
Last July, in Hong Kong, an iPhone 6 exploded while charging. In the same month, a lady from Hong Kong saw her iPhone 6 Plus exploded the same way.
In June, one such device explodes on the road, in India. iPhone 5 and 5C (blew up on Valentine’s Day) also experienced the same fate.
