The Moto X Style, the international version of the Moto X Pure Edition that is available in the US, along with the Moto X (2014) version, has received the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update.
This update was expected for quite a while, since the European version of the Moto X Style, the Motorola X Pure Edition, has received the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update some time ago.
Likewise the Moto X Pure Edition, the Moto X Style Android 6.0 OTA update has about 650MB and this is the reason why we suggest you to download it only when you are connected to a Wi-Fi network.
The Moto X (2014) has also received the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update and the owners of this device should already check to see if they have been notified about the update. Keep in mind that since this is an over-the-air update, depending on your location and the carrier your device is connected to, you will receive the update sooner or later.
Motorola has also confirmed that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update will be also released in Brazil and India for the following devices: Moto X Play, Moto G (2015), Moto G (2014) and Moto G (2014) (LTE). The Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update will also be released globally for the devices we’ve mentioned above, but it will take a few weeks until this will happen.
There are also other devices that received the approval to get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA Update such as: Moto MAXX (2014), Moto Turbo (2014) and the Droid Turbo. Unfortunately, there is no official news about when the update will be released for them, but the rumors suggest that it will happen sometime in January-February 2016. When it comes to the Moto E series, these devices will are not eligible to get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
