The Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OTA update has been confirmed by the big search engine company via the Nexus Google Page, where they’ve announced the new emojis characters for the Nexus devices.

It’s still not yet known when these Nexus devices will receive the Android 6.0.1 update, but for now, these are the devices that have been confirmed for receiving it: Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9 LTE, Nexus 9, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 2013 LTE, Nexus 7 2013 and Nexus Player.

The factory images of this update can now be found on the Google AOSP page. According to Android News Center, Google is also partnering with Samsung, Motorola and HTC for this update, so that the devices owned by these companies will also receive the OTA update soon.

The new Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OTA update will bring with more than 200 emojis along with security improvements and “do-not-disturb” controls. At the same time, you will notice some modifications made in the placement of the home, back and multi-tasking buttons that are currently located in the bottom part of the screen.
