We have some good news for all Call of Duty fans, as Activision has just released the first “Call of Duty: WWII” trailer, confirming that this game is in the works and that it will be released this year.
To make things even better, the release date has also been confirmed and it seems that we will be able to purchase “Call of Duty: WWII” for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 or Windows PC on November 3, 2017.
Here is the Call of Duty: WWII trailer:
We remind you that the sci-fi “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare”game that has been released last year has not been as successful as the previous Call of Duty titles. This game was released on November 4, 2016 and it was developed by Infinity Ward.
This time, the guys from Sledgehammer Games will work on the Call of Duty: WWII and there are already rumors suggesting that it will sell way better than the Call of Duty version that was released last year. We remind you that Battlefield 1 has received some nice feedback and that the game is settled during the “World War I” time.
It seems that there are many players who prefer playing “realistic” video games. They are not attracted too much to sci-fi stuff such as the ones found in the “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” or “Call of Duty: Black Ops III.” Eric Hirshberg, CEO at Activision, mentioned that Infinite Warfare’s far future setting was not enjoyed by most of the fans, who’ve decided to ditch the game in a short period after its release.
The “Call of Duty: WWII” will be settled in Europe between 1944 and 1945. A closed beta of this game is expected to be launched sometime in the following months, but the developers have not mentioned anything about it yet.
